Something is different with my blog

I used to receive emails when anyone commented on any of the posts.  I no longer am receiving them, so cannot respond to each one like I used to :(

Anyone know how to fix this/?

Progress on the Beetle CQ wall hanging

Here are the basic blocks for the beetle legs.  The yellow walls in that room are distorting the colors.  They are all grey to black.  Still need to sew them onto muslin and embellish them all.

4x4" 6 blocks (only 1 seam)
4x8" 8 blocks (3 seams)
4x12" 8 blocks (5 seams)
triangle 44 blocks. (only 1 seam)

There will be a total of 114 seams for the legs.

SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT

This is something I was playing with while on my hiatus.  Is supposed to be for an earring but I altered the pattern just a touch and can use it for a CQ block some day is less than 2 x 2 inches.

Good news

Well had my 3 year cancer check up today. Good news. Oncologist appt in 6 months, bone density scan in approx 1.5 years. Best of all PET scan in a year. Whatever had been going on for the last 2 years with my lymph nodes has finally stopped and they are almost back to normal.

New Project

I know it has been awhile since I last posted.  Was going through a lot of stuff and didnt' want to bore you it.  I am in a better frame of mind again and will try to make an effort to post more often.

Am embarking on a huge Crazy Quilting Project.  Basic blocks are designed and some of the fabric is ironed and will hopefully start making the blocks today.

The blocks when sewn together will be in the shape of a beetle which will them be appliqued onto some brown fabric.  Also each block will have a stumpwork beetle on it measuring approx. 3.4" to 2 1/2".

 The inner beetle will be on 55 white and light gray blocks measuring 6x6" with some half blocks.

The legs will be light to dark gray blocks measuring 4x4", 4x8" and 4x12".

I will be starting on the legs as that was the fabric that I have ironed and waiting.

Here they are some of my detached chain stitches didn't turn out the way I wanted and normally I would have redone them but need to get these done.
