I have been very busy this last week.
Finally got my hexie quilt top done. It is packed away until I can get some of the tops sandwiched and quilted.
Got all of the kaleidoscope hexies made. Am thinking of one round of black around each of them then not sure what color for the path but will be a single row.
Border pieces for the kaleidoscope
Here is my progress on my Crazy Quilt blocks from the Intermediate CQ class with Kathy Shaw. Keep in mind that these are a work in progress. The beginners class concentrated more on the seam treatments the intermediate is concentrating more of other elements that is why the seams are not embellished yet.
Am currently working on the frame around the silkie.
Will be linking up with Freshly Pieced WIP Wednesday , Esther Aliu's WoW and Linky Tuesday

How fun! Love the pics!
Those hexies are absolutely stunning! I tried some crazy patch and found it so stressful to be creative that everything is still in a box. I have since discovered that left brained people love to do the Dear Jane systematic rows and right brained people like to colour outside the lines and do the really great creative stuff.
Oh wow Sandra - I am so impressed! Hexies and crazy quilts are a lot more challenging and yours are wonderful!
Those kaleidoscope hexies are wild!
It's incredible what happens when you fussy cut those hexagons, lots of hours spent doing it but oh the end results are amazing yours sure are vibrant and I'm looking forward to seeing the black around them they will really pop then. Wonderful crazy blocks your are making too. Cheers Glenda
I love all of your projects but I especially favor the kaleidoscope hexies. They are so fun! I have a hexie quilt started and it will become a table topper because - wow - it takes time.
Thank you all for your kind comments. I really enjoy doing the hexies as I find all hand stitching relaxing.

I love your three CQ blocks, Sandra. What pretty work you are doing. I always love fan blocks. =) Your kaleidoscope hexagons are amazing. The fabrics you used and how you used them, are simply perfection. Congratulations on your top finish, too.
Wow...you have been very busy. I'm about to do my spiderwebs which seem easy enough:)
